The Early Days of Metal Roofing Headquarters
The Wells/Boyer Family has been one of the most trusted names in residential metal roofing and siding since 1959, when Bob Wells decided to start a small metal siding company in Ocala, FL, after a career a world champion rodeo cowboy. The original name was Baywel Inc, which quickly grew into one of the top metal roofing & siding companies in the Gulf Coast region.
Tradition
In 1963, the expanding company moved its headquarters to Birmingham, providing a central location from which they could manage metal roofing projects in Huntsville, Birmingham, and Mobile, AL.
Family-Owned
Two of Mr. Well's sons, Robert & Robin, eventually followed in his footsteps and continued to focus on metal construction, eventually pioneering the residential metal roofing industry in Alabama, Mississippi, & Florida.
Legacy
Today, Metal Roofing HeadQuarters or "MrHQ", as they're commonly known, is owned & managed Bob Wells' grandsons, Jonathan & Stefan Boyer.
